Don't ever give up
 Written by Liz Vazquez

Do you ever feel like you are just not succeeding? Do you feel anxious and depressed sometimes?  Ever rent “Casablanca”, throw a blanket over your head and eat a gallon of ice cream? I say this as a joke, but we all know someone who comforts their sadness with food.  But that just brings in unwanted extra weight.

As a Personal trainer I hear a lot of personal stories and believe me giving up is never the answer.

Something I have learned about life is that for every experience we see as a failure, a new opportunity comes our way. We all know life can be hard, but I always tell myself no one ever won a battle by just giving up.
Click off that TV!  Instead go for a long walk. Meditate. Think about the situation. Is it really worth being depressed about?  Is that person worth it?

Don’t quit an exercise program after just 4 weeks because the scale didn’t move fast enough.  I take measurements of my clients just to show them how many inches they are loosing over all. That usually helps my clients to stay motivated.  If you lack motivation do not worry. As a personal trainer, I can help you reach your goals.

Zumbatomic! It’s finally here!

What is Zumbatomic?
In 2009, the Surgeon General of the United States, Steven Galson, reported that more than 12.5 million children and adolescents, which is 17.1% of people ages 2-19, are overweight.
Zumbatomic is the program that Zumba has developed to incorporate fitness as a natural part of children’s lives, not just a class. Zumbatomic considers the whole child, developing a healthy lifestyle that includes leadership, respect, and teamwork as well as coordination, balance, discipline, memory and creativity.
I am proud to introduce Zumbatomic for children. The routines are designed for children and they are fun. Plus we include games!  The recommended age groups are ‘Lil Starz from ages 4 to 7 and Big Starz from ages 8 to 12.  Classes will be held at Encore Dance center on Thursdays. Please contact me by email or by phone for registration.

Zumba  Toning
This has been such a successful class that I have opened more classes lately. Come and join this aerobic fitness class with a Latin Flavor. Exercising has never been so much fun!
